OLIVE BRANCH


The panel titled "Olives on the Branch, Oil on the Table" was hosted by Prof. Dr. It was held on September 30, 2020, moderated by Murat BOYACI. In the panel where the development of olive production in Turkey, its production, problems and solution suggestions were discussed, the importance of olive oil, which is a secondary production, in food consumption, its processing and marketing structure and consumption were discussed. It is especially emphasized that olive oil should be consumed for health reasons, and it is aimed to raise consumer awareness about what issues should be taken into consideration when purchasing and consuming olive oil.
