Identification of some Spanish olive varieties using image processing techniques...

The aim of this research is to determine some Spanish olive varieties using image processing techniques. For this purpose, the varieties of Lechin De Granada, Arbequina, Picual, Verdial De VM, Picudo, Hojiblanca and Empeltezeytin were determined using image processing and analysis techniques.

For this reason, olive images taken at 2896 × 1944 pixels at 300 dpi were taken with a DSLR camera and pixel evaluations were used taking into account pixel distribution and size measurements. LabVIEW Vision Assistant v2013 (NI) and Image j (NIH) software were used for image analysis operations. Artificial Neural Network analysis was used to evaluate the results of length, width and color data obtained from fruits and seeds (olive seeds). All varieties were determined.
