Impact of the "Olive Dad" Project

Within the scope of the "Olive Father" project of the Metropolitan Municipality, the studies carried out under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mücahit Taha Özkaya, Director of the Food Safety Institute of Anadolu University, contributed greatly to olive production in the region. Thanks to the project, the number of olive trees has increased and the quality of the olives produced has been significantly improved.

Although Eskişehir was previously known as an industrial city, it has been taking important steps in agricultural production in recent years. Especially olive production in Sarıcakaya and Mihalgazi districts brings a new economic vitality to the region.

Geographical Location: The characteristics of Sarıcakaya and Mihalgazi districts similar to the Mediterranean climate offer ideal conditions for olive cultivation.
